DJ Kool Herc - Godfather of Hip Hop - Honored with Mural in the Bronx

Connect with the Temple of Hip Hop NYC: http://XeeMe.com/TOHHNYC Members of Tats Cru, a group of Bronx-based graffiti artists, honored DJ Kool Herc by designing a mural. (August 8, 2013) THE BRONX - Bronx residents gathered along the Grand Concourse to honor a man credited with founding hip-hop. The artists spent three days designing the mural at the corner of the Grand Concourse and 166th Street in the Bronx. "This mural is important because it pays tribute to the legacy, you know a lot of the young kids now, they have no clue who Kool Herc is," said Bio, of Tats Cru. DJ Kool Herc is set to perform in Central Park this weekend August 10, 2013 during Summer Stage. The living legend along with the Goddess of Hip Hop Cindy Campbell invite you and yours to partake in Hip Hop History. Big shout to Erika Elliott and the City Parks Foundation! We appreciate you!
