Jamal's 1995 single from his solo effort "Last Chance No Breaks." Jamal was discovered in Philly by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez. In 1993 Jamal was paired with Malik as they formed the juvenile group Illegal. Jamal then proceeded his solo career on Rowdy Records. "Keep It Real" was produced by Erick Sermon. The song provides the Stevie Wonder piano sample from "Ribbon In The Sky."
